Every piece of e-waste holds a quiet fortune.
Buy and sell e-waste and recyclables at any scale, across Malaysia and worldwide. Each priced lot is valued from its metal content, inspected by Verde, and moved by licensed carriers.
A marketplace built on what the metal is worth
Verde Recovery connects households, factories and installers who hold e-waste with the recyclers and refiners who recover it. Priced listings are valued from typical metal content and current buyback rates, so both sides start from the same number.
Every business lot is inspected, and scheduled waste moves only with DOE-licensed transport.
Every lot leaves a clear record: what it was, who inspected it, which licensed carrier moved it and what it weighed on arrival. That is the evidence your sustainability and waste reporting needs.

Why sell on Verde
Sell a lotKnow what your e-waste is worth before you sell it. Priced from its metal content and today's world prices, sold to licensed buyers who collect it, with the paperwork done for you.
No hauling
The buyer books and pays for licensed transport. No loading, driving or queuing at a scrap yard.
Compliance built in
Scheduled waste moves only with DOE-licensed carriers and an e-Consignment Note, so business sellers stay on the right side of the rules.
Buyers compete
Several buyers can request your lot or bid on it, instead of one yard naming its price. Bidding starts above the Verde estimate.
A price you can see
Before you list: the metal inside, today's world prices, what refiners and scrap yards pay, and exactly what you will receive.
A record for ESG reporting
Every lot leaves a trail: what it was, who inspected it, which licensed carrier moved it and what it weighed on arrival.

Verde Recovery · MalaysiaBuy and sell e-waste and recyclables at any scale.
Circuit boards, solar panels, computers, phones, cables, batteries and scrap metal, from households and businesses across Malaysia, with clean metals open to buyers worldwide. Priced listings are valued from their metal content, so buyers know what they're paying for. Buy at a fixed price, or bid on open lots.
What are you selling?
Pick your material and enter the weight. We estimate its price from typical metal content and today's world metal prices, show you what refiners and scrap yards pay, then you choose how to sell.
What your material is worth
Suggested prices per kg, based on the metal inside and what buyers pay today. They guide your asking price or your bid; the final price is agreed on each lot.
Price per kg of material
Verde estimates value each material from its typical metal content at world metal prices, then apply what recyclers and refiners actually pay for that kind of scrap. For clean metals and standard motherboards the estimate is set so the seller takes home about what a Malaysian scrap yard pays after Verde's fee; for boards, processors and other refinery-grade items it is 85% of what refiners pay. Each price shows what the wider market pays, so you can list at the estimate, above it, or open the lot to bids. Reference ranges are typical Malaysian scrap-yard prices. As trades complete on Verde, the estimates will be tuned to real sale prices. See the references at the bottom of this page.

Buyback rates
Marketplace fee
Whole-lot rate · buyer and sellerBuyers pay a fee on top of the seller's price; business sellers pay a fee on the same bands, deducted from their proceeds. The rate is set by the value of each purchase and applies to the whole purchase, so larger lots pay a lower rate for both buyer and seller. On variable lots, buying more (or the whole lot) moves you into a lower band. Household lots pay one flat rate each side at every size. Buyer Pro members pay a lower buyer rate in every band.

Licensed transport, quoted per job
The buyer pays for transport. When a deal is agreed, the job opens to Verde-listed carriers whose DOE licence covers that type of waste. They quote their best price, the buyer picks one, and the carrier moves the load with an e-Consignment Note. Buyers can use their own logistics partner instead, for a 5.5% own-logistics fee on the lot value.

Materials on Verde
Everything you can list today, with what a typical kilogram is made of. Circuit boards are sorted into classes the way refiners grade them, and boards, processors, memory, connectors, device parts and clean metals carry a Verde estimate based on their metal content and world metal prices. Solar panels, whole devices, cables, batteries and mixed loads vary too much, so the seller sets the price or opens the lot to bidding.
Metal content is a published reference average, not an assay of your lot. Prices shown are Verde estimates and move with world metal prices. See Prices for how we value material.
From listing to collection
Verde Recovery connects people who have e-waste and recyclables with the recyclers, collectors and refiners who can use them. Priced listings are valued from typical metal content and current buyback rates, so both sides start from the same number.

In more detail
If you're selling
- List your materialPick the product type and weight. We estimate its price from typical metal content and today's world metal prices. Sell at that price, add 5%, 10%, 15% or 20%, set your own price, or open it to bidding.
- Receive buy requests or bidsBuyers request your lot at the listed price, or bid on it. Under My trades you always see the amount you'll receive.
- Accept the one that suits youAccepting opens a deal. You and the buyer talk through messages on Verde; neither of you sees the other's contact details.
- Hand over and get paidYou receive your price less Verde's seller fee. The buyer books and pays for transport: a licensed carrier from Verde, or their own logistics partner. Scheduled waste from a business must move with a DOE-licensed transporter and an e-Consignment Note, whatever the weight.
If you're buying
- Browse and filterFilter by material, state and sale type. Every priced listing shows its typical metal content.
- Buy now or bidSend a buy request at the listed price, or bid on open lots. Prices you see include the marketplace fee, which is lower on bigger purchases. On lots up to you can also ask Verde for a free video check or an on-site visit (paid by you), and choose a Verde-listed carrier or your own.
- Hear back from the sellerTrack every request and bid under My trades: pending, leading, outbid or accepted.
- Receive the materialYou pay for transport. Once accepted, book a Verde-listed licensed carrier (or use your own logistics partner, for an extra fee on the lot value), confirm details through Verde messages, and weigh the load on arrival.
Frequently asked
Who can list material?
Any business, factory, installer, collector or household in Malaysia. Choose "Business" or "Household" when you list so buyers know what to expect. Companies outside Malaysia can buy and sell clean metal scrap (copper and aluminium); other materials trade within Malaysia for now. On cross-border trades the seller arranges the export permit and the buyer the import permit.
Does it cost anything?
Listing is free; Verde charges only when a lot sells. Buyers pay a marketplace fee on top of the price and sellers pay a seller fee from their proceeds. Both rates fall as the value of the purchase rises, and one rate applies to the whole purchase, so buying a whole lot costs less per kg than buying part of it. Household lots pay one flat rate at any size. The exact amounts always show before you confirm.
Do I need a licence to sell e-waste?
Households can sell their own used devices. Businesses generating scheduled waste (such as SW110 e-waste) must transfer it only to a facility or contractor licensed by the Department of Environment, with an e-Consignment Note, under the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.
How is the price set?
For priced products, we take the typical metal content (from published research), value it at today's world metal prices, and apply a Verde estimate factor: the share of that metal value recyclers and refiners typically pay for that kind of scrap, after refining, losses and their margin. For clean metals and standard motherboards it is set so the seller takes home about what a Malaysian scrap yard pays; for boards, processors and other refinery-grade items it is set at 85% of what refiners pay. It is a safe starting point, and each listing shows what the wider market pays, so sellers can see their headroom. That's the suggested price. Sellers can list at it, add 5%, 10%, 15% or 20%, set their own price, or open the lot to bidding starting at the suggested price + 4%. Solar panels and products whose content varies too much are listed at the seller's price or by bidding. See the Prices page.
Does a small lot need licensed transport?
It depends on who is selling, not the weight. Malaysia's scheduled waste rules set no minimum quantity, so scheduled waste from a business (such as SW110 e-waste) needs a DOE-licensed transporter and an e-Consignment Note even for a few kilograms. Household e-waste isn't classed as scheduled waste today, so a household selling a few phones or batteries can use normal transport. New household e-waste rules are being drafted, so this may change.
Does Verde handle payment or transport?
Transport, yes. The buyer pays for transport and chooses when buying: a Verde-listed carrier, whose DOE licence must cover that type of waste (carriers quote and the buyer books one), or the buyer's own logistics partner, which adds a 5.5% own-logistics fee on the lot value. For business scheduled waste, the buyer's own transporter must also be DOE-licensed for that waste code. Payment through Verde is coming next; for now Verde coordinates settlement between both parties. Weigh on a calibrated scale at handover.
Which currency do I pay in?
Trades between two parties registered in Malaysia are priced and paid in ringgit (RM), as Bank Negara Malaysia requires; the US dollar amount is shown beside it for reference. Trades with an overseas buyer or seller are priced and paid in US dollars. Your currency follows the country your business is registered in, and the exchange rate for a trade is fixed when the seller accepts.
Can I buy part of a lot?
If the seller lists it as a variable lot, yes: buy any weight from the seller's minimum up to what's left, at the same price per kg. Whole lots must be bought in full, and lots sold by bidding always go whole to the highest bidder. Fees are set by the value of what you buy, so buying more, or the whole lot, gets a lower rate.
Who pays for inspections?
Remote video inspections are free. For on-site visits, Seller Premium members pay nothing (within a yearly allowance); other sellers pay 70% of the visit cost, capped at 1% of the lot value, and Verde pays the rest. Your share is deducted from your sale proceeds, so you pay nothing upfront. If a buyer asks for an on-site visit on a lot up to , the buyer pays for it in full () and the seller pays nothing. If a lot fails inspection, the seller pays the full visit cost. See Membership.
When is a lot inspected?
Every lot needs photos. Verde also inspects every business lot, and any household lot listed above . Listing the same item several times within 30 days counts as one lot, so splitting it into smaller listings still triggers an inspection, as do photos that match another listing. Lots over are always inspected on-site. On lots up to , a buyer can ask for a video check or an on-site visit with their buy request or bid. Buyers can still bid while an inspection is pending, but the seller can't accept an offer until it passes.
Who can see my details?
Only Verde. Buyers see "Business seller" or "Household seller" and your town, never your name or contact details, and sellers never see buyers' details either. Everything is arranged through messages on Verde, which remove phone numbers, emails and links automatically. See our privacy notice.
A marketplace for recovered materials, from Malaysia to the world
Verde Recovery is an online marketplace for e-waste and recyclable materials, based in Kuala Lumpur. Sellers list circuit boards, processors, cables, solar panels and metal scrap; buyers send buy requests or bid; licensed carriers quote for transport; and Verde inspects lots and keeps the paperwork in order.
Priced lots are valued from their typical metal content at world prices, so both sides start from the same reference. Malaysian trades run in ringgit, and clean metals are open to buyers worldwide in US dollars.
Why a marketplace?
Good material is often stuck in the wrong place: a factory with rejected boards, a solar farm replacing damaged modules, a condo with a storeroom of old appliances. Verde Recovery makes that material visible so it reaches licensed recyclers and refiners at a fair price, with the paperwork in order.
Where the name comes from
Copper weathers to a green patina called verdigris. Verde is named for that change: materials that look spent still carry their value.

Version 1.0 · effective 13 October 2026. Please read these terms before you list, buy, bid or carry on Verde Recovery.
1. Who we are
Verde Recovery ("Verde", "we", "us") is an online marketplace, based in Malaysia, for e-waste and recyclable materials. The company operating Verde Recovery is being registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM); its registered name, registration number and address will be shown here once registration is complete. Until then, contact us through the Contact page.
By creating an account or using Verde, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy notice. If you use Verde for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Give accurate details, keep them up to date, and keep access to your email (or phone) secure: actions taken through your account are treated as yours. One person or business may hold one trading account unless we agree otherwise. We may ask for proof of identity, company registration (SSM) or licences before you trade.
3. What Verde does and doesn't do
We provide the platform where sellers list material, buyers send buy requests or bids, and licensed carriers quote for transport. Unless a listing or deal says otherwise, the sale contract is between the buyer and the seller; Verde is not the buyer or seller.
Trades between two parties registered in Malaysia are priced and paid in ringgit; other trades are priced and paid in US dollars. Amounts shown in a second currency are for reference at the day's rate; the rate for a trade is fixed when the seller accepts. On cross-border trades the seller is responsible for any export permit or approval (including Department of Environment approval for scheduled waste) and the buyer for any import permit; Verde may restrict which materials can be traded across borders.
Valuations shown on priced listings are estimates calculated from typical metal content, world metal prices and Verde estimate factors. They are not assays, quotes or guarantees of value.
4. Listing material
You may only list material you own or are authorised to sell. Describe it accurately, including product type, grade, weight, and any hazardous parts such as batteries, and add at least one genuine photo of the actual lot. You may not list stolen goods, radioactive or explosive material, material you are not licensed to hold or sell, or anything whose sale is unlawful in Malaysia. Listings stay anonymous: buyers see "Business seller" or "Household seller" and your town, not your name or contact details.
5. Fees
Listing is free. When a lot sells, Verde charges:
- a buyer fee, added to the seller's price and shown in every price a buyer sees;
- a seller fee, deducted from the seller's proceeds and shown to the seller before they publish and before they accept;
- an own-logistics fee, payable by a buyer who chooses their own transporter instead of a Verde-listed carrier, as a percentage of the lot value;
- a buyer-requested inspection fee, payable by a buyer who asks for an on-site inspection where one is not otherwise required.
Current rates are published on the Prices page. The marketplace fee rates that apply to a lot are fixed when it is listed; later changes don't affect it. Fees are exclusive of any tax that applies, which will be added where required by law. We may change fees for future listings by updating the Prices page.
6. Buying, bidding and accepting
A buy request is an offer to buy at the listed price, for the weight you choose (variable lots) or the whole lot. A bid is an offer to buy the whole lot at the amount bid. Bids can't be withdrawn while bidding is open. A sale is agreed when the seller accepts a buy request or the winning bid on Verde, at which point both sides are bound to complete it on the agreed terms, subject to the material matching its description. A seller can't accept while a required inspection is pending.
7. Inspections
Verde inspects every business lot, household lots above the published threshold, and lots that look split or duplicated. Lots above the published on-site threshold (currently USD 10,000, or the ringgit equivalent) are inspected on-site. On smaller lots a buyer may ask for a video check or an on-site visit with their buy request or bid; a buyer-requested on-site visit is paid in full by that buyer. Other on-site costs are shared as shown on the Membership page. If a lot fails inspection, the seller pays the full visit cost and the listing is removed. An inspection checks the lot against its listing on the day; it is not a guarantee of grade, metal content or weight at handover.
8. Transport and scheduled waste
The buyer arranges and pays for transport, either by booking a quote from a Verde-listed carrier or by using their own transporter. Scheduled waste generated by a business (such as SW110 e-waste) must only be transferred under the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005: by a transporter licensed by the Department of Environment for that waste code, with an electronic consignment note, to a licensed facility. A buyer using their own transporter for scheduled waste must give that transporter's licence number and confirm it covers the waste code. Each party is responsible for its own legal duties; Verde does not take possession of material.
9. Weighing, payment and handover
Weigh the load on a calibrated scale or weighbridge at handover. Where the weight differs from the listing, the price adjusts pro rata per kg unless both parties agree otherwise in Verde messages. Until payments through Verde are available, Verde coordinates settlement between buyer and seller and invoices its fees; payment instructions are given in the deal and only through Verde. Never pay to account details sent outside Verde.
10. Dealing through Verde
Buyers and sellers who are introduced on Verde Recovery agree to complete that trade, and any further trades between them for 12 months after it, through Verde, and not to share contact details or arrange deals elsewhere to avoid fees. If a trade is completed outside Verde in breach of this clause, the fees that would have applied become payable to Verde, and we may suspend the accounts involved.
11. Messages and conduct
Use Verde messages for the deal only. Phone numbers, emails, links and app handles are removed automatically and may be reviewed by Verde. Don't post false or misleading information, harass other users, interfere with the platform's security, scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful.
12. Carriers
Carriers must hold, and keep valid, the Department of Environment licence for every scheduled waste code they quote on, plus any permit and insurance required for the vehicles they use. Verde checks licences before a carrier can quote and may remove a carrier at any time. Carrier commission and payment terms are provided to carriers when they register and form part of these terms for carriers. A carrier is responsible for the load from collection until delivery.
13. Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you post and give Verde a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on Verde and to use them to promote the listing. Verde's design, software, valuations and content belong to Verde or its licensors.
14. Liability
Users are responsible for the material they list, buy or carry and for complying with the law. To the extent the law allows, Verde is not liable for the quality, quantity, legality or safety of material listed by users, for a user's failure to pay or deliver, or for indirect or consequential loss, and Verde's total liability to you in connection with Verde is limited to the fees you paid Verde in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to compensate Verde for loss caused by your breach of these terms or of the law in your use of Verde.
15. Suspension and closing accounts
We may remove listings, or suspend or close accounts, that breach these terms, put other users at risk or are needed to comply with the law. You can close your account at any time through the Contact page; trades already agreed must still be completed.
16. Complaints and disputes
Raise a complaint about a listing, a user or Verde through the Contact page; we aim to respond within 7 days. If a buyer and seller disagree about a deal, Verde will review the deal messages, inspection record and weighing evidence and suggest a resolution. Consumers may also bring claims to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction.
17. Changes
We may update these terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page, and we will tell account holders about material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use Verde after that date means you accept the updated terms.

- Technical data: our hosting providers log technical information such as IP address, browser type and time of access to run and secure the service. Your browser stores your sign-in session and display preferences locally. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
2. Why we use it
- to create and secure your account and confirm your email;
- to show your listings, pass buy requests and bids to sellers, and run deals, inspections and transport bookings;
- to calculate and invoice fees and keep business and tax records;
- to check licences and comply with environmental, tax and other legal duties;
- to prevent fraud, fee avoidance and misuse, including reviewing messages that are flagged automatically;
- to answer enquiries and complaints and send you service messages about your account and deals.
We will only send you marketing if you ask for it, and you can stop it at any time.
3. Where it comes from
Mostly from you. We also receive information about you from the other party to a deal (for example deal messages and weighing evidence), from inspectors and carriers working on your lot, and from public registers we use to check companies and licences.
4. Who can see it
- Other users: listings are public but anonymous ("Business seller" or "Household seller" and town). In a deal, the other party sees what is needed to complete it, never your name or contact details. Carriers see pickup and delivery areas, and full addresses only once they are booked.
- Verde staff who run Verde, inspections and support.
- Service providers acting for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), our email delivery provider, and font and code libraries the site loads (Google Fonts, jsDelivr). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Authorities such as the Department of Environment, LHDN or the police, where the law requires it, and professional advisers and any buyer of our business, under confidentiality.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Transfers outside Malaysia
Our database is hosted in Singapore, and our website and email providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. We use providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA, under contract, as section 129 of the PDPA allows.
6. Is it compulsory?
You can browse as a guest without giving us anything. To trade you must give a name and a working email address, and the details needed for each listing, deal or carrier registration. Without them we can't open an account or complete the trade.
7. How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account is open. Records of deals, fees, inspections and transport are kept for 7 years after the deal to meet tax and company record-keeping duties. Enquiries are kept for 2 years. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
8. How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit, and database access rules mean each user can see only their own records and the deals they are part of. Staff access is limited to what they need. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner within 72 hours and tell affected users without undue delay where it is likely to cause significant harm.
9. Your rights
You can ask to see or correct your personal data, ask for a copy in a portable format, limit how we use it (including stopping marketing), or withdraw your consent and close your account. Some records must be kept by law even after you close your account. Send requests through the Contact page; we reply within 21 days. A small fee may apply to access requests where the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi).
10. Children
Verde is for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes and contact
We will post any update here with a new version and date, and tell account holders about significant changes. For any privacy question, contact our data protection contact through the Contact page. If the English and Bahasa Malaysia versions differ, the English version applies.
